I have to thank you for this, and the face-shaving video. They have completely changed my life. I'm less self-conscious about face fuzz, and my thin hair looks thicker and bouncier after I set it in velcro rollers while I'm getting ready for work. I like all your videos but wanted to especially thank you for these two!
Josephine F (2 years ago)
What size are the velco rollers you use?

Thanks, missie; that was helpful! I think my rollers are a little too small for the lift I want, and I will now look for the rollers with the metal in them! Why did our Moms always tell us not to use our teeth to open up the Bobby pins, eh?! I am commiserating with you on those '[email protected]$#%&g' hot flashes; they are absolutely horrendous! I had my first one eight hours after my emergency hysterectomy at the age of forty-five, and unfortunately, I continue to have them multiple times every day, and I am fifty-five. Coincidentally, the half-life for the breakdown of estrogen is eight hours! So much for them disappearing after a few years, like they have done for my friends, and family! Hopefully, that will happen for you! Here's hoping!Canadian love, and hugs, Tammy, Sherrey❤

Great hair lesson for me. U are looking fab as usual. I usually get my hair so tangled in everything that I have given up on rollers. What is the name of the flat paddle brush u are using? I bought a detangler brush that breaks my hair & doesn't detangle the way my large comb works. I'm looking for a good brush that won't break my long hair & will help detangle. Any recommendations for me? Thanks so much. Xxxooo

Loved this! I have long hair too and I'm always at a loss of what to do with it. I've tried using the round brush and make a mess of it. Maybe this will be more successful. I hope you'll do more of these.
Fletcher (2 years ago)
I do believe you have inspired me to dig out my old velcro rollers and give it a go. While I will sit and play with make up for hours, I struggle with hair! Thank you for giving me some thing to try today. =)
BostonPatty (2 years ago)
How long did you keep the rollers in your hair? If you said and I missed that part, I apologize in advance, but I'm sure you understand that women of a certain age...
Masterpiece girl (2 years ago)
You may be experiencing hot flashes but boy you got some hair going girl!!!! Enjoy it as it will thin with this curse of menapause😔
I may have missed something, but how long did you let the rollers stay in? Did you add any heat with the blow dryer?

Hello Tammy, I,ve had my long hair cut and I am so jealous when I see you with your lovely long hair. I found that the older I get it was drowning my face and making me look older than I was. Still, I might just grow it out for summer, you have inspired me. Great tutorial as usual. XX Deborah from OZ
Shelley (2 years ago)
Darn hot flashes. Especially when I do my hair. I drink a lot of cold water I the morning when I'm getting ready.
Sariah Meriou (2 years ago)
Dear Tammy I am a huge fan of the classics , Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Lauren Becall. You have an extremely classic and elegant look about you, I would love to see you in a dress for the classics session perhaps a gorgeous white shirt, pearls pencil skirt, I think you would look fantastic. Please keep your hair long it is very flattering and such a gorgeous mane of hair should never be made to look short😀

Don't feel you should avoid using a fan simply for recording purposes! Unless the wind is directly hitting the mic (like if you were outside on a very windy day) and is totally preventing us from hearing you, I really don't mind if the fan is directly in front of you, or what not, just so long as your cool and comfortable! And before you put in the rollers, did you blow dry your hair, or do anything to give such great volume to begin with? My hair just goes flat as soon as it dries (its quite thin, very straight, bust-length and has no natural volume whatsoever)!
Tammy's Ageless Beauty (2 years ago)
The fan may be a regular in my videos ....:))...Yes, I use Moroccan Root Lifter and oil as well as Sebastians whipped creme...I put links below so you can see each product...Thank you for your kind words...and understanding !!

EatPray Love (2 years ago)
Lovely, lovely, lovely! Thanks for this hair tutorial! One quick question...how long do you leave your rollers in for?
Tammy's Ageless Beauty (2 years ago)
As long as you can...You can also give them a blast of hot air from your blow dryer ...this will help them to take shape while cooling..I left them in around 35 minutes...
Vegan Bean (2 years ago)

Hi Tammy, Thank you for this tutorial, I love my Velcro rollers but my technique didn't give me the lift yours does. I will definitely be trying your way. Your hair is beautiful.  Looking forward to the makeup tutorial on this.  Hugs, Heather
MissKrisLoves (2 years ago)
Must be wonderful to be so gorgeous naturally. "I just shake my head" lol if I shook my head all the lift would be gone 😨😆 But it was still great to watch! Maybe the secret is the products I don't have? 😁😂 lots of love ❤💋

E L0VE (2 years ago)
So overall the rollers stayed in for maybe 30 minutes and no heat was needed i am assuming. I have ones without metal. Thanks for the tip!
Tammy's Ageless Beauty (2 years ago)
Yes...but you can give them a blast of hot air from the blow dryer...for me, today was not the day to add heat...I had enough heat coming from my body...LOL...I will leave them in as long as I can...:))
Viva Fusions (2 years ago)
Your hair always looks gorgeous I love my velcros xoxo
Melanie Rose (2 years ago)
I love using Velcro rollers, and since I have very long hair, I will normally wash it at night so it can air dry, but I put my rollers on the top of my head which lets me sleep with them in (can't come down the sides or the back) and deal with the rest of my hair in the morning if I want to, before I take out the rollers. Love this look! 🙂
Carole Kelly Pearce (2 years ago)
Tammy, I remember several years ago you mentioned the Sebastian Whipped Creme. I bought it and have used it ever since. My hair is your length and the curl I get with this and hot rollers, is great. Thank you.
