What about rust? this is 100% one of those things you could build for much much less and do a better job with some 50x50 box and 10mm plate...
Pano Vino (5 days ago)
This welding table is so expensive that I don't want to scratch it.
acewelding (11 days ago)
The files for this are for sale on ebay, you can have the parts cut at your local laser profiler. Here's the link. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/142682357631?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

UniverseUnknown (2 months ago)
$3K.....that's not couple hundred....thats 30 hundred - 28 hundred more..... Cool table tho. Dislike.
BUD MAN (3 months ago)
guy says complete for a FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS. funny, on the website a 3 x 3 table like his would be over $1500 just top and legs . this is affordable for who ??
Hoghead _1 (4 months ago)
Whats the purpose of all the holes in the table?
Jeremy Miller (4 months ago)
This is how to assemble a welding table!! I like, it looks nice kinda excited about the couple hundred bucks. So I went to the site to find it for what you are putting together its is like $1100 bucks for a 3x4 table with out legs. Looks like a great table but the average home welder is not going to be able to afford that unless they are selling their services . Not saying all people cant but its hard to justify. There are a lot of shops around that can laser or water jet a piece of 3/8 for a lot less. Oh yes this table price is for a 1/4 in metal 3/8 is like 2k and 1/2 is $2500. I think i can make a nice table for less than $1100 even having it water jet cut. If you are any kind of welder you can build the same structure on bottom side without the tabs it will just take a little more time to get it tacked up. Time I have. Can you tell what the price is for the complete table you just built?
blunt3068 (6 months ago)
$2,499.00 is not "a couple hundred bucks"

is that a welding shop or a clinic? I dont see how you keep it so clean. honestly
Daniel Balfour (9 months ago)
The title is misleading. It should read "How to BUY A WELDING TABLE KIT". And no, it won't be a "few hundred bucks" for a 36" square 1/4" plate, 4 legs and some caster wheels.

Fantastic Vid 👌🏻... Which State are you located? I'm a beginner, technically don't know a thing about welding, just happen to have loved it all my life, I'm 51 and want to get into Tig Welding for DIY PROJECTS and maybe hire one or two guys to start a very small business.

How do you keep it from rusting?!? I’m going to get one but don’t want it to rust
martin ronck (1 year ago)
That´s a pretty cool welding table but it´s nearly professional. But all the pieces need to be laser cutted.
Can you send me the plans?

firstly im no welder and i could be wrong but it seems to me your bolts wouldnt be doing very much at all.wouldnt it made more sense to bolt the table top to the table underneath or to some other bench to stop any warping ? and even though the table is quite sturdy and heavy but as welding goes it looks very light duty to me.id like to see how flat it is in 6 months time after its had some good heat the last thing is those clamps that attach to the table are the flimsiest things ive ever seen ,cant see any work that is jigged up with them staying true sorry.will say your video was very good though you covered everything thoroughly without banter

I like this woodworking book “pepe amazing plan” (Google it). Some of the topics reviewed in the book include wood working strategies, justification on the development cycles of trees, and various lumber characteristics that craftsmen favor. Simply put I had to get a second copy for my father.

bob john (1 year ago)
the term 'either side' just refers to only one of the options, not both, the term 'each side' is probably more appropriate if it refers to being able to put the table wings on one or both sides.

how much does a laser cutter cost I cannot afford one
variator05 (1 year ago)
It's a torsion box out of metal instead of wood.
S H (2 years ago)
That's not anything special, anyone who welds will build something 10x as good and as strong.  What kinda welding can you do on a table with casters anyway...........LOL  Light duty or what!
Very interesting video

Stronghand tools, can't beat them, tools and accessories and portable, you can't build one of the quality they sell for the price they charge, try them.

I'm about to order one of these tables. Odd question... are you the same guy on the hopper channel?
memyselfandi (2 years ago)
0:37 every person that has come by has been wowed by it. *LMAO* yeah wowed as in, wow, why the hell would anyone want to waste their time building that for ? 0:45 look at how easy it moves. yeah, especially when you may want to do some precision welding and oops it moved now you have to fix that mistake and do it all over again.

You know the type of steel EU standards?
Tom (2 years ago)
Why did you build this table on top of wood of all things when you have a supposedly flat metal table already ? It just doesn't seem like the correct way to assemble a welding table on top of wood
Skinny Mcdoogin (2 years ago)
A lazy susan base is the best thing for welding, come on , a spinning table is asking for trouble.

Elliott Barletta (2 years ago)
what kind of clamps will you fi t through those tiny holes?
Elliott Barletta (2 years ago)
I'm not disagreeing. I was asking. I own a welding and fabrication business in PA and none of the clamps ('C' or 'F' style) I ever buy or use are that small. So hence, my question. most of the arms on the f style clamps I use are at least 1.25-1.5"
Lemony Snicket (2 years ago)
Elliott Barletta there is a plethora of clamps available for 5/8th hole. Very standard size.

John-- You should really state how long one takes you to build out; from delivery to completion. Than we can double that time. because you have 'skills'.

hi. Great vid! But the thing i was curious the most is how did you make the surface so shiny (and even more flat)? i guess you have grinded the table surface but i wonder how? unfortunatelly you did 't touch this subject. Could you make a vid about it?
Czar R. (2 years ago)
Do you have to weld it together yourself?

Shipping to me in Washington State was $83 for the 2'x3' kit with legs at 106lb, and the 30x30 fancy kit with legs and casters was indeed $198 for shipping, which seems odd because the table without the legs was 154lb. That would mean the 14ga leg kit and wheels weigh 100lb. I did notice a popup when I calculated shipping that the calculator is sometimes off and to call or email if the rates don't look right. For sure shipping on the fancy 30x30 kit looks particularly odd. I recently purchased a 154lb item from a business in OK that is 300 miles farther away than WeldTables, UPS shipping for that item was only $70. So it does seem that WeldTables rates are on the high side.
Jeremy Vonk (2 years ago)
For the money that table cost, WITH the ability to add clamp and hold down jigs, its money very well spent! And for the table being more then your welder? You sure as hell won`t be having a brand new 220 one, that`s for sure.
William Mason (2 years ago)
hey, when i buy clamps and inserts, (due to the thinner table top), do i need the inserta clamps with the threads on them, or will the quick 5/8 "pop-in" clamps work?
Alex Behrens (2 years ago)
What clamps are we supposed to use with this table???!!!!!!

what's the grid of the 5/8" holes? I'm guessing 3" x 3". I have 1" tables anything less you can't hammer on.

What kind of Welder need to go buy a welding tableThat's like Hiring somebody to build your backyard deck and you are a carpenter
Chris Breidenbaugh (2 years ago)
Jack Drew I would call this a fixture table, as opposed to a weld table. And while I have a bunch of equipment, I do not have a laser cutter...
Steffen Elnegaard (2 years ago)
So a carpenter wouldn't lay down quick-lock flooring, because it's more convienient?
A3Kr0n (2 years ago)
Nice table, but I had to quit watching because the camera swinging all over made me a little sick to my stomach.
MrStropparo (2 years ago)
I can't believe how much bitching people do. Nobody made you click on the video people. Like it or don't. Watch it or don't. Nobody wants your bitching either way. Free video. Free to go somewhere else.

Can you tell what helmet that is. The white helmut looks awesome.
Marc Morson (2 years ago)
Did he say the legs were 2" tube that were 8" steel? how does that work?
Lemony Snicket (2 years ago)
Marc Morson 1/8th inch steel.

Excellent!! But Im in Brazil. How can I buy it from you. How is the price and the weight? Tsk
Vando Serpa (2 years ago)
I was wondering if anyone who has one of these tables had it just bolted down instead of tacked welded together? I like the idea of being able to take it back apart for moving it to a worksite or something similar
Ragnar FoxTrot (2 years ago)
You gotta weld it.
