OLDER VIDEOS ARE STILL PUBLIC ON MY CHANNEL FOR REFERENCE OF MY HAIR, IT'S THICKNESS (LEVEL) AND ANY OTHER CONCERNS YOU MAY HAVE S ABOUT MY HAIR. FEEL FREE TO SCROLL BACK AS FAR AS YOU WOULD LIKE =) (I SURELY DID REWATCH SEVERAL OF MY OLDER VIDEOS. I TOOK NOTES FROM MYSELF. IDKY I EVER SHYED AWAY FROM MY OWN ROUTINE OVER THE YEARS)
I have relaxed hair. I have always suffered dandruff, even when I had natural hair as a child ( the condition of my hair (relaxed or nautral ) is not related to my dandruff) In the past, Sulfur 8 worked wonderful on my dandruff (7+ years; since high school) but overtime as I stopped having a flaky scalp I slowly stopped using my sulfur 8.because I felt that my hair no longer needed it. Recently, about 5 hair tutorials back, I began to get lots of comments about my hair being dirty even after washing, and I received a few comments with concerns about "white specs being in my hair". I first used an oil treatment to help with my dandruff, which some of my subscribers were unsure that I suffered from years ago as It was never mentioned on my channel in depth before. The oil worked for a while but definetely not like the Sulfur 8 had worked for me in the past. I don't know what I was thinking even trying the apple cider vinegar rinse as I NEVER TRY ANY HOME REMEDIES FROM YOUTUBE VIDEOS on my hair. As for the rinse, I use only a small amount mixed with water as mentioned in several of the natural hair tutorials that I watched. I allowed the rinse to sit on my relaxed hair for ~10 mins then I rinsed it out and proceeded with my usual wash day routine. Common sense I knew not to use vinegar in my hair because it strips things so I know it would strip my hair. Not to mention the fact that my mom says vinegar is what people used back in the day if they wanted to get rid of a relaxex / (perm as she calls it). Long story short, (not really) I will NEVER try home remedies, on my hair ever again. I plan to use my sulfur 8 for my dandruff. Yes, I have head and shoulders, T Gel,..you name it, If it's for dandruff I probably have it under my cabinet. so as for the apple cider vinegar rinse I don't know what I was thinking. like seriously, what was I thinking? =D. So your next question may be relaxed or natural? at this point, i am 15 weeks post relaxer. my hair is not ready to be relaxed and I will not choose to relax my hair until I feel that it is a better condition from the rinse before I choose to do so. It's honestly not a decision that I'm even focused on right now. as I am only concerned with getting my hair to be healthy again (the rinse has made it so brittle) this is all that I will say on the topic of relaxed or natural for now.
In conclusion, always do YOUR OWN RESEARCH, i am not blaming or bashing anyone else for the condition of my hair. as with all other hair decisions, it was my own choice and free will to try this rinse on my hair, I am only sharing with you my journey and experience. I do not plan on trimming my hair any shorter by the way. I do plan on revisiting my older regimen, hair routine, and choice of hair products to aid in growing my hair back because as I recently watched my older tutorials from previous years, it def helped my hair thrive. (idk how I shyed away from a lot of my own practices) but I'm def going back to them, example: roller sets, oil sheen sulfur 8, roller set straightening. basic routine!!! check older videos for details, as i cannot cover it all in this one place.
For now, this is all that I can think of to address and explain in detail for you all. If I think of anything else that I forgot to mention, I will update the info bar. thanks for watching and reading.

Thanks For Watching,
I use apple cider vinegar for shampoo and I have relaxed hair and I’m 15 weeks post relaxer and it hasn’t made my hair fall out but you’re supposed to do equal parts of vinegar, water and coconut oil or your voice of oil. Everyone’s different tho thanks for the disclaimer. I also follow up with a protein conditioner ☺️

at 8:00 it was a memory shock for me .. my hair was super heat damaged just like that and I had enough and cut mine off and started natural... cannot go back to relaxers ever.. hanging on to little stretched edges will hold you back
Now *that's* a hair journey!
Thank you so much for your honesty
and being fourth coming about the mistakes
you made with the apple cider vinegar. You are absolutely
gorgeous, so you could be bald and you'd still be pretty girl lol. God
bless your heart, and your family (Mon who helps you out) and your
overall lovely disposition. It really helps to see what someone else goes through :)
Which one is naturally better???
RELAXED or NATURAL???
I'm debating on transition to natural but I'm afraid of cutting my hair. It really broke off bad cause I kept putting perms and color in my hair without knowing the damage unfortunately...I need some HELP YALL ????
My daughter has very bad dandruff and I brought her into the dermatologist and she was diagnosed with dermatitis of the scalp. So she has a prescription shampoo that she uses now to keep the dandruff under control. I would recommend that if your dandruff has always been a problem. She can’t leave braids in to long or crochet because her scalp sheds more than the average and she will get itchy patches on her head that turn into scabs if not washed enough. We just found your page today before we did a at home relaxer and thanks for all the info, it helped us so much 😊 she is straightening it right now and I’m going to help her trim it. That’s again ❤️
Well Thanks so much for posting this because this just recently happened to me. I am natural no relaxer and I had dranruff with a relaxer & natural. I was trying to get my natural curl pattern back & tried the acv rinse my hair also matted up & wgen I was trying to comb it out coming out & its still shedding. The aphogee treatment has not stopped it! I will try the egg & mayonnaise. So what did you do & how is your hair now? I didn't wanna know the damage so I haven't blowed dryer my hair. I have deep conditioning my hair twice a week. So I have no more dranruff I just have to do something to stop the shedding.
hey my dear I love your channel. God bless you. I just think that your hair will really blossom and flourish and grow past your shoulders when you become natural. stop with these relaxers. no thing wrong with relax hair but natural is you girl. think about it become a natural it will be the best decision you will make concerning your hair. thank you
Don’t let these folks tell YOU how to wear YOUR hair. I have healthy, relaxed hair, and I suffer from dandruff as well. I was natural for about 6 months and my scalp was worse. I didn’t have the patience or any help dealing with it, so I started relaxing again. I don’t regret it at all.
My child has brastrap length thick hair with a texturizer and terrible dandruff. I have tried apple cider vinegar to detox her scalp, it didn't touch her dandruff, she didn't experience any hair loss like you did (sorry for that). We have tried sulphur 8, t-gel, baking soda, honey/cinnamon scrub, and tons of other stuff, a trip to the dermatologist to no avail. Last week I re-watched some India ladies on YouTube takling about Neem oil, her beautician suggested Organic Tea Tree oil . I went to whole foods and found both, mixed them together with a carrier oil, it was as if the dandruff melted off. Today is a week and her scalp is as clean as the day she came from the beauty shop. Just a suggestion.
Just yesterday I looked at my bottle of ACV and then read about rinse benefits. Destiny, I would have done this to balance my hair, I don't have dandruff. Girl!! You saved my hair!!! Its long and I would have been devastated. I've only seen whites do the rinse, it never dawned on me the vinegar could take out my hair. Thank you, girl.
very helpful ... lol ... i use egg when i remember to but my hair still breaks... maybe less than it would if i didnt dunno... but it still does. tried to chop some off last week. we ll see where it goes...keep up. love the personality, pretty fun to watch.
I had dandruff as well but I started using Jamaican Black Castor oil Help me TREMENDOUSLY.... I dont have that issue anymore try it to see if it helps if you haven't previously. Also perm? Natural? Do what you feel is RIGHT for you! you have a beautiful spirit about you I've enjoyed watching your videos.
Destiny use Rosewater with Glycerin for the dandruff. Just spray it on your scalp. It's super cheap and it works! You can get it from Whole Foods. I've been using it for years!!!!! It's Not harmful at all.
so just a, few days ago I was just looking up how to do heatless curls and happen to come across one of ur videos for the very first time and really enjoyed it and decided to subscribe I came across this video on ur channel today and it was very help along with a, couple of other videos u have made. I see that you have used various hair products thru out ur tutorials and seen that it has worked wonders for your hair ive been having some trouble with maintaining my hair especially the fact that I'm trying to keep it natural and I really need your help by knowing what hair products do you highly recommend to maintain heatless curls and maintaining damaged natural hair
. Girl do what's best for your hair don't listen to these people saying natural hair is your only solution.I went nat 2.5 years ago because of a relaxer . Being natural i was still loosing my hair. Now i am using natural oil treatments such as coconut oil , olive oil etc.. It works for my hair , I am not saying its the best solution .But you might think about it.
Good luck Destiny and thanks for sharing with us.
Sorry to hear about your experience. I have been natural for 10 years. I made a few videos on my channel about transitioning and I have written two books about it. They are on Amazon. The books are called Dynamic Curly and Dynamic Curly Extended. Dynamic Curly Extended is a paperback book on Amazon.
Have you ever used tea tree oil? I am natural and I did the ACV one time if I feel like my scalp is itchy another natural told me to try tea tree oils which is much well... wayyyy much better but you know it's trail and error boo and going natural won't stop dandruff lol so whoever said that needs help lol but anyways hun your hair will grow back fuller and your hair still looks cute
I used to love my sleek styles but going natural was the best thing I could have ever done ...going natural is a big decision to make people think it's easy but it is a life changing thing so give it so thought..
hi am a subscriber lol. but my hair around my head is like shorter than the middle "the high tension areas" not horribly short but obviously short I was hoping if you could like help me figure out what to do to get it looking as healthy as the top. I have since recently starting doing just roller set. my hair looks good but is that enough?
