This new video was generated for the 40 year anniversary, to the original NOTW album track, sung by Brian May. The visualisation was created by Unanico Studios (Directors Jason Jameson & Robert Milne, Producer Paul Laikin), in collaboration with Brian, and stars Brian’s childhood pet cat Pixie.

I miss fred a lot but of course I miss deaky too, the band would not be the band without all of them, I hope Brian and roger live a really long life to keep making music in honor of fred, (and deaky where ever he his) I love the deep meaning of this song too, and the 4 then 2 birds ❤️
walter gibb the two birds are meant to represent Brian and Roger, as they're the only two active members still attached to Queen. Freddie obviously passed away and John retired a couple of years afterward. Neither is gone. Deacy's still alive, and Freddie has been practically immortalized through his music.
this song is so beautiful. the harmonies, the guitar choir, brian’s voice.... ❤️ one of my favourites of Queen’s songs.
(and i made a cover of it on my channel if you want to go check that out! ha i’m so sorry for the shameless self promo)
In 2014, I lost my kitten Gemini. She turned out to have had a congenital kidney defect and had to be put to sleep because they were failing. She was too young, only a few months old. I found her at a very rough time in my life, and taking care of her gave me a purpose, a reason to keep going. I’ve had plenty of cats die, but they were all old and died of natural causes. To this day her loss still hurts so badly. My next tattoo is going to be of her, with the first line of this song accompanying.
“She came without a farthing, a babe without a name”
It always pisses me off how many people calls Mr May and Mr Rogers as "has-been milking on Queen and Freddie" and how it becomes more so because the new movie Bohemian Rhapsody. They DO NOT NEED THE MONEY, ya wanker. And certainly not the fame. They already got it all. The only thing they tries to do is keep the promise of Freddie "we'll stop being a band untill all of us fuck*ng die". 😡
I have to say, it takes alot to make me surprisingly sad(almost to the point of crying) and this visualiser and the music with it hit me in the soft spot. I've listened to this song thousands of times and it never made me almost cry like it did now
When all the cats I have owned in my life I will sing this song next to their dead body and mark the day and will sing this beautiful song to them while marking that day on my phone calendar wear black and sing this song if I get a dog this song comes in too the same thing
I always cry everytime i listen to this song. First fact that this song is about Brians childhood cat, which in this video the cat looks exactly like my cat who never came home (he still alive i seen him walking in other neighborhood several months later after he went, still miss him but he doesnt enjoy being at my neighborhood cz theres always bad cat bothering him here). And the second fact that this song so sad somehow related to Queen themselves..
If y’all don’t know, there is a “ hybrid” version of this song where Freddie sings and in this version Brian sings “ but I should not grieve” and Freddie responds “ in time it comes for every one” Idk but it’s just a cruel and ironic line that really hurts 😞 Looking back over their catalog of songs I’ve seen some creepy “foreshadowing” in some that just makes Freddie’s passing all that much harder to bear. Like sometimes it almost seems like he knew that he would die young. I know that’s not possible but it just hurts
I lost my dog two months ago and coming back to this song and seeing the beautiful animation with the cat It made me sob in tears, remembering that I can't go back in time and I lost my pet forever, just like Brian did.
