Building a Headboard from Recycled Pallet Wood

144 ratings | 4581 views
Building a Headboard from Recycled Pallet Wood. This is an easy DIY project you can complete in a weekend. The metal frame around the headboard is a recycled bed frame. The metal was painted in a hammered finish and the pallet wood was sanded and finished with a dark stain to add a warm cozy feel to our bedroom. This is a very fun weekend project that will add a lot of warmth and character to any bedroom. If you enjoyed this project, please consider subscribing and hitting that like button. I'm so sure that you can make it too guys. Just look for woodprix.

this is amazing to me Rios

Rios Moodie don’t do it...I used woodprix once and everything came out wrong and backwards. Worst decision I could have made. It caused my garage to catch fire 🔥 and burn to the ground. if you want your project to be all screwed up, sure, have at it 👌

Very nice Brandon. I love the way you blend old wood with metal. Beautiful. I've avoided welding because it's so messy. I might have to rethink that. Really great work.

+Bill Byrd Thank you very much Bill! Have a go at the welding. You might be surprised, It takes me half the time to clean the shop when I do a welding project vs a wood project and sanding dust drives me absolutely crazy! :)

another great build! as it happens I just "rescued " an old bed frame and was wondering how I could use it. my question is tho, how did you remove those swing-out sections? It looked like you unscrewed them, but you went so fast it was hard to tell.
Brandon Lund (2 years ago)
+Gordon Reiher Thanks Gordon! Yes, this one just unbolted, but on some of them, they pivot on a rivet. In that case just grind off the rivet.
